Know your own application
Read the submitted form and supporting records. Be ready to explain the destination, purpose, funding and intended activities in ordinary language. Resolve mistakes through the appropriate process.
Practise clarity, not a script
Use short answers that address the question asked. If you do not understand, ask for clarification. Do not memorise invented answers or guess facts you cannot recall.
Organise the requested records
Follow the interview instructions for documents and security rules. Keep the appointment confirmation and identity document accessible. Check whether an interpreter or accompanying person is permitted.
After the conversation
Record any instructions or further-evidence requests accurately. An interview may be followed by additional steps. Rely on the formal decision or status channel rather than assumptions about the conversation.
